History, Longevity, and Stability
Workplace Resource is one of the largest full-service furniture dealerships in Canada.
At Workplace Resource we begin with your goals. We’ll tailor your space to what you want to achieve, prioritizing people, productivity and value.
As a Herman Miller owned and certified dealer serving the Canadian market for over 40 year, we provide a unique combination of resources, tools, products, and service to create more than a place to work—a space to succeed. We have insight into how people work and a track record of successful designs. Our expectation is that our designs will work as hard as you do and that includes delivering on time and on budget. Let’s get to work on creating a space to succeed!
We’re proud to be part of a company that was one of only six companies listed on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” Fortune’s “Most Admired,” and Fast Company’s “Fast 50 Most Admired,” all in the same year.
Still, we value our roots most for what they drive us to become. Indeed, the words of founder D.J. De Pree still push us today—“good design isn’t just good business, it’s a moral obligation.” Herman Miller was established in 1923 in Zeeland, Michigan, when founder D.J. De Pree purchased the Star Furniture Company with the help of his father-in-law, Herman Miller.
Since the early 1950s, Herman Miller has a worldwide following for its modern furniture designs by Gilbert Rohde, George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, and Isamu Noguchi, among others. The decades that followed have witnessed continued breakthroughs in performance, ergonomics, aesthetics, and environmentally responsible design through succeeding generations of equally inspired designers.
